The Washington State Chapter of Women in Aviation (WiA) held its annual Girls in Aviation Day at Harvey Airfield in Snohomish, WA on September 23rd. It was a great turnout with WiA’s largest group yet! Girls 10 to 18 years old came to learn about careers in the Aviation Industry. The girls got a tour of Harvey Field and the businesses based there, climbed in the Cessnas and helicopter and even got a demonstration from Airlift NW.

During lunch, guest speakers talked about how they got into aviation and what the girls will need to focus on now to make their aviation dreams possible. The day ended with WiA discussing its scholarship opportunities and goodie bags filled with swag.
