Happy National Engineers Week

Founded in 1951, National Engineers Week celebrates the positive contributions engineers make to society. Each year the celebratory week takes place near George Washington’s birthday, regarded by many as our nation’s first engineer because of his surveying work. This year’s National Engineers Week runs from February 20th through the 26th.

Led by the National Society of Professional Engineers, the week is an opportunity to recognize how engineers make a difference in our world, boost awareness of our need for engineers and build a diverse pipeline of future engineers.

This year’s theme, Reimagining the Possible, is not just a week-long event, but a year-round commitment to making a difference by engaging students in engineering.
