Monday, November 14th, marks the start of the 8th annual National Apprenticeship Week, a time to highlight programs and pathways that advance apprenticeship across the USA. Leaders in industry, labor, equity, workforce and education will come together throughout the week to highlight how registered apprenticeship provides a critical talent pipeline that addresses our nation’s most pressing workforce challenges.
With events happening both virtually and across Washington State, here are our picks for the week:
November 14: Machinists Institute Kick Off
Join Machinists Institute at their new facility in Tukwila from 3-6pm as they kick off National Apprenticeship Week with guest speakers, shop and classroom tours and appetizers and drinks.
November 15-16: Pacific Northwest Apprenticeship Education Conference
This biennial conference creates a platform to strengthen registered apprenticeship, empower the skilled trades workforce and connect business, government and education. This conference will be held at the Grove Hotel in Boise, Idaho and features keynote speaker U.S. Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh.
November 17: Apprenticeship Career + Job Fair
Meet and network with 20+ apprenticeship organizations from across Western Washington, including AJAC. Enjoy free food and hands-on activities!
