Garmin International booth Wednesday brought planes to the skies and deals to the table as The Boeing Company flew their new 777X over the skies at Farnborough and announced new orders for the 737 MAX 8.
After the busyness of Tuesday, foot traffic and meetings were quieter Wednesday. However, the Choose Washington
booth saw large numbers of walk-ups and meetings, with visitors inquiring about how to do business in Washington.
Center of Excellence Executive Director Jason Petrait met with industry representatives in composites, aircraft interiors and OEM suppliers to
better understand their hiring and educational needs. Broad themes stayed consistent, with a need for talent topping industry lists for everyone from engineers to deburrers.
The industry portion of Farnborough winds down Thursday. On Friday booths are open to students, graduates, apprentices and young professionals.
