On November 16th, the Center of Excellence welcomed a new Executive Director, Jason Petrait. Jason brings a wealth of education and industry experience to the role, most recently at the Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County, where he oversaw manufacturing and apprenticeship grants and contracts, board relations and communications. Prior, Jason served as Director of Special Projects at South Seattle College, managing certificate and pre-apprenticeship programs in advanced manufacturing.
I’m pleased to join the Center and build on the great work that came before, said Jason. From the space subsector to unmanned aerial systems, it’s now a new era in aerospace in Washington and the COE, with Everett Community College and the rest of our system across the state, will be ready to supply tomorrow’s workforce.
