The Building Floor Maintenance Technician performs a variety of duties and multiple uses of different skill sets. This Position will be mainly focused inside of the Weld Shop around welding equipment cleaning and organizing the weld shop to our 5S standard.
Technicians will report directly to Operations Support and are required to follow directions carefully, have basic mechanical knowledge, manual dexterity, good eyesight and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Technician will also need to be able to work around projects and persanel ensuring the enviorments are kept clean with a good attitude as well as be able to help maintain and 5S tools.
The position requires execution of the following essential job functions:

Receives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors and Production Leads
Must be able to understand and comply with Safety Practices
Identifies and obtains equipment, tools and materials needed to properly perform job function
Properly executes Hazardous Material Disposal activities
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly, FOD free condition
Knowledge of common hand tools
Performs on the job training, AS9100 training and other training as required
Organizes tools to 5S standards
Maintains Greenlee’s, Broom Stations, Rag disposal
Maintains Floor, trash cans, pallet, cord organization, manage full dumpsters
Performs other duties as assigned
Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

High school diploma or GED required. 3 months to 1 year experience in related field required. Must be able to follow detailed verbal and written directions, meet deadlines, & operate as a team member. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT USED
Hand tools, pneumatic/ power tools and other equipment; interprets technical documents; Job requires use of personal protective equipment due to hazards relevant to eyes, ears, skin and lungs.
