Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Technician for our Burlington, WA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
Primary recruitment is for 3rd shift.
Obtain and sustain source inspection authorization for product that is delivered to customers on source delegation (i.e. Goodrich, Boeing, etc.)
Quality Technicians will complete the necessary training to maintain their source delegation stamps and approvals
Support onsite customer source inspectors for first article and production products including a final review of the Production Technician inspection documentation, preparing required customer documentation, and a review of the product
Inspection and certification review for incoming raw materials
Material receiving testing to include;
Coordination and preparation of test specimens and performance of acceptance testing
Completing inspection and test paperwork and maintaining these records
Tagging materials of test status and issuing to production freezers
Supporting the monthly adhesive status report detailing expiration dates and re-qualification efforts of expired materials
Recall and disposal of expired materials
Required to work with, monitor, re-train, and audit the inspection work of Production Technicians; review Production Technician’s inspection paperwork, perform annual audit inspections, and identify training needs
Support calibration, performance of mechanical calibrations, coordinate sub-contractor calibration activity, and monitoring of inspection tool calibrations
Inspection of product or other additional tasks may be required to be performed in order to meet business requirements
Operate at all times in compliance with Hexcel Burlington’s Quality Management System
Comply with Hexcel policies, procedures and code of Business Conduct
Working Knowledge of mechanical inspection tools
Reading and writing skills
Comprehension of technical documentation (PO’s, Specifications, Blue Prints, etc.,)
Able to develop audit reports and write nonconforming records as required
Basic PC skills – WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and the like
Auditing experience considered a plus
3-5 years’ experience in similar work a plus
