The Center of Excellence, in conjunction with FANUC and Klein Educational Systems, hosted a workshop Thursday and Friday, Feb. 21 & 22, at the FANUC facility in Auburn. This professional development opportunity, paid for by this year’s Workforce Development grant, provided another excellent occasion for faculty from Bates Technical College, Big Bend Community College, Everett Community College, Green River College, Shoreline Community College, South Seattle College, and Wenatchee Valley College to get together and see and experience the newest that industry has to offer.
Bringing in several of their representatives, FANUC provided an informative and exciting FANUC Manufacturing/Automation Workshop. Topics in this workshop included an overview of FANUC CNC, FANUC robotics, and certification programs along with new products. Faculty also participated in hands-on training with the FANUC CNC simulation and had the opportunity to create and run programming simulations with the FANUC robots.
